As a matter of fact, He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, down to earth so that you might one day trust Him.

The Bible describes this failure as sin in Romans 3:23. It says “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Basically we’re all sinners and can’t get to God on our own.

Later in the book of Romans it says “the wages of sin is death.” Because of our sin we deserve death and separation from God.

That verse in Romans doesn’t end with the bad news about what we deserve. It goes on the say “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.” “What gift?” you may be asking. In Romans 5:8 the Bible declares that “God commendeth (demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The Bible says in Romans 10 that whoever will “call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” It really is as simple as that. God wants to forgive you for your sin. All you have to do is accept His gift of forgiveness.
